Aam Aadmi Party Telangana state Joint secretary and women’s wing president S Naseem Begum demanded the state government to be alert and cautious against the illegal activities of so-called Gau Rakshaks who indulged in atrocities on those who shifted cattle from one place to another. Speaking to press persons on August 20, she expressed fear that on the eve of Idul Azha, cattle are transferred from one place to another for religious sacrifice and Gau Rakshaks become hurdle for the transportation and manhandle even those who have valid permits. The state government should curb the illegal activities of these cow vigilantes.
She said the centre had put the responsibility on the state governments to keep these cow vigilantes under leash. She warned the government that if any untoward incident occurred in Telangana, Aam Aadmi Party’ women’s wing would hit the street. Senior leader Mohammad Bashiruddin also addressed the media persons.
