Prime Minister Narendra Modi while delivering the 72nd Independence address from the ramparts of Red Fort was confident that the country would touch new pinnacle of progress nationally and globally in his regime. Indirectly he told the opposition that it is his party that would win the coming Lok Sabha elections in 2019. He said when the BJP came to power in 2014, the country was gripped by despair and disappointment but within four years it achieved tremendous development. Having confidence in the government, the people have high aspiration and expectations. In other words he wants to convey the message that they would return him to power. Ahead of the crucial polls, he is going to roll out the world biggest health scheme that was announced in the last budget. He said the Ayushman Bharat health scheme would be launched on September 25, the birth anniversary of the party ideologue Deendayal Upadhyay. Under the scheme 10 crore poor families would be covered by the insurance of Rs 5 lakh each. It means in this biggest plan of the world, 50 crore people would be benefited. Such a gigantic scheme can be taken up only under the guidance of an iron man.
If the scheme is implemented sincerely and devotedly, 50 crore people would be convinced of the government anxiety about their health. It will be a master stroke in disguise in the poll campaign of the party. Apart from this scheme, his stress was government’s efforts on protection of women. He said that wide publicity should be given to the cases in which death penalty is given to rapists. He spoke of the ISRO’s mission to send Indian astronaut to the space in 2022. After this space venture, India would be the fourth country to achieve the feat, after the US, Russia and China.
